Testimonials

I take my clients progress very seriously and it means there are few things that give me more pride than helping them achieve their goals, and have some fun along the way.

Below is a few of the clients I’ve worked with over the years and what they have to say about our time together. They say your clients are a reflection of you as a trainer and if that’s true then I’m pretty damn happy I’ve been able to work with these awesome people.

What People Say

Chris Lamb, 30

Chris Ball is an excellent trainer who combines the perfect blend of personality and knowledge of exercise to produce results.  I started with Chris after having not worked out for months, I had very little knowledge of weightlifting, exercise, or even healthy living.  He was very approachable and set realistic goals that allowed for evolution as I improved. The initial focus was getting stronger while feeling more comfortable in the gym atmosphere.  Chris was so supportive and jovial that working out was fun and energizing; it quickly became something I looked forward to rather than dreaded. Chris helped design a workout that was both manageable yet challenging and measured consistent improvement as I progressed.   During the 8 months I trained with Chris, I lost 8 pounds but more impressive to me was how much better and stronger I felt. When I started with Chris I had never deadlifted and less than a year after starting I am now deadlifting 270lbs for multiple reps. Chris is an amazing trainer who brings everything to the platform when training.

Katie Whelley, 30

I loved training with Chris. After a couple years of trying different fad workout programs with insignificant results, I really wanted to get back to basics. Chris and I focused on total body strength. He had me on the barbell doing squats, deadlifts, and shoulder presses Day 1. The knowledge and passion that Chris has for making people stronger is something that I haven’t seen in any other trainer I’ve worked with. His programs are dynamic, and he’s honestly just fun to be around in the gym. I am well on my way to lifting heavier and feeling better than I have in a long time.

I’ve been training with Chris for the last three years.  As a member of the Baltimore City Fire Department being in top shape is important not only for my health but for my job performance.  Chris is great at listening to your goals and working that into a varied, fun and effective workout. I’ve been able to hit a number of Personal Bests recently with Chris helping improve my lifting technique and strength. The only problem with Chris is, he’s a Liverpool fan so you should watch your valuables around him.  In all seriousness, training with Chris has helped me improve my strength, stamina and keep me pain free in the gym and on the job. If you’re willing to put the work in Chris can get you those gains!

Before we started working together, I thought I was in decent shape. My goal working with Chris was to “get stronger”. After a few months I saw a significant change in how my clothes fit and my body felt. I feel fit and strong for the first time in a long time. Chris completely changed my view on how to train best for me and what I wanted to accomplish.  I feel more confident in and out of the gym and actually learned how to train instead of just “workout”.

I started working with Chris 5 years ago. After working at a desk for 10+ years I was realizing that I needed to make some changes in my fitness regimen in order to stay healthy. I was 215 pounds trying to stay in shape playing pickup basketball and soccer 2-3 times a week, but was also having trouble walking down stairs without knee pain. Sitting at a desk for 8+ hours a day had caused my hip flexors to weaken and back to flare up from time to time.

When I started with Chris we made a plan to work on these specific items. My main goal was not to lose weight. I wanted to add muscle and live a healthier lifestyle.

Shortly after beginning workouts with Chris my knee, back, and hip pain all subsided. I look forward to our workouts because he was able to add an element of fun. This kept me engaged in the workouts. Chris’ friendly nature really helps get me through a tough workout or a heavy lift.

After almost 5 years of training with Chris, I fluctuate between 200-210 pounds and am much stronger and can feel a big difference in my core strength. I also enjoy the benefits of this new found strength and fitness when playing pickup [and dunking over Chris!*]. I recover faster and can play more games with a higher energy level. *9ft basket
